My father's father was a Master Sergeant in the Army. His wife was a secretary for the Army. I never learned her rank, but apparently she qualified expert with a.45 1911 pistol. She was in charge of notifying the families of the deceased on Ft. Lewis during Vietnam.
Marlene, my father's side is very interesting. Grandma was from PA. Grandpa was from TX. Dad was born in PA. And my grandpa is buried in Ft. Lewis, Washington.
One small tradition David & I have kept: lighted angel on the top of our tree. We also only buy nobel firs. Doug fir branches are too week for our decorations.
